The Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) nationally recognizes Health First's Viera Hospital NewFit Bariatric Program as an Accredited Comprehensive Center since 2013. The NewFit team is committed to quality care by meeting strict criteria developed by MBSAQIP, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS). In addition to the national MBSAQIP designation, the NewFit program at Viera Hospital has obtained regional and national recognition.
